About Our Koi
We offer a variety of Koi to meet the needs and desires of all of our customers, from beginner hobbyists to the experienced Koi Kichi. Our Koi are bred, raised and harvested in mud ponds using traditional Japanese methods by Mountain Top Koi in Pennsylvania. Each spawning of Koi undergoes a highly selective culling process to ensure only the highest quality and healthiest Koi meet the requirements to be available for purchase.

Our Koi

At Sea Islands Koi we utilize only one breeder and supplier for our Koi. What this means for our customers is that you can have the confidence knowing that our selection comes from the same place every time, and isn’t mixed in with a variety of Koi from various breeders. This helps to eliminate the potential for lesser quality Koi to be mixed into our selection. We offer a wide selection of affordable Koi of all sizes, colors, and varieties whether you are looking for a new addition to your pond or a show quality Koi.
OUR BREEDER:
Mountain Top Koi
We exclusively offer only high quality fish from “Mountain Top Koi” located in northern Pennsylvania. Mountain Top Koi has been breeding, raising, and harvesting Koi for nearly 20 years. Utilizing Japanese imported Koi as “Oyagoi” or breeders, the fish are paired and allowed to naturally breed without the use of hormones or chemicals. After spawning, the Koi fry are culled up to 5 times to ensure only the highest quality and healthiest fish are selected to raise. They are then transferred to traditional style mud ponds to be given the time and space to grow and are then harvested, inspected, and selected for sale or future breeding. Mountain Top Koi does NOT breed Koi for volume, they breed for quality, which is why we have chosen them as our sole provider of Koi.
It has always been the intent of Mountain Top Koi to one day produce a US Grand Champion Winner.

Our Ponds and Water Features are Eco-friendly, and require little to no maintenance. In other words, they are designed to take care of themselves and typically only require one or two cleanings a year.
